“It’s about us being the team that we want to be, us playing the type of rugby that we want to play soccer
“They have certain things that they’re very good at but it’s about us being the England rugby team, about us putting our best foot forward and our individuals, as a team, going out there and playing the type of game we want to play soccer

We don’t want to sit back and just watch them do their thing soccer

Itoje confirmed that there had been no such demonstrations this week, with Jones’s more successor, the more understated Steve Borthwick, instead emphasising the detail of their gameplan soccer
And while talking up South Africa’s ability, the second row insists they are far from unbeatable soccer
“They’re just very fundamentally sound in the areas in which they are good at,” explained Itoje of the Springboks’ strengths soccer
“They have a good kicking game, a good chase, put a lot of pressure on teams soccer
They have a good set-piece, that goes without saying, their breakdown work is good as well soccer
“We’re going to need to be physical, that goes without saying soccer
We need to be physical in every game, especially when you play against this opposition soccer
We need to be smart with how we play, we don’t want to make poor decisions, we don’t want to play in areas that aren’t smart“Obviously they are the current world champions, they’ve had a very good World Cup soccer
We’ve played them twice since 2019, they’ve won one, we’ve won one soccer
We’re not talking about a team that has never lost, we’re not talking about a team that is without fault, they are a good team but so are we soccer
For us, it’s about putting our game on the field, it’s not necessarily about sitting just to watch them soccer

Two-time rugby World Cup winner and self-confessed “golf tragic” Dan Carter is eager to see the result of a new programme aimed at boosting participation for golfers with a disability in Ireland soccer
The former New Zealand fly-half was in Dublin this week to help launch the partnership soccer between Golf Ireland and ISPS Handa which will see the latter sponsor the Irish Open for Golfers with a Disability in June 2024 and become the lead partner of Golf Ireland’s Golf4All programmes soccer
Carter, who is an ambassador for ISPS Handa, said: “I know at ISPS Handa they are going to look at different sporting events, different organisations about partnering with them soccer
“One of the most important things is they really have a lot of values soccer
So to learn about Golf Ireland and wanting to make Golf4All is a perfect alignment for ISPS Handa soccer
“It’s a really exciting partnership and one that’s going to work for both sides soccer
I’m really intrigued to see how this partnership evolves and also the uptake of golf here in Ireland soccer
“I’m a bit of a golf tragic, I think I’m much soccer better than I actually am, so it’s great to be back here in Ireland and next time I can guarantee I will be bringing my golf clubs soccer
”Fellow ISPS Handa ambassador and world number two Brendan Lawlor added: “The beautiful thing about this partnership is it’s going to give so many disability golfers in Ireland a chance at every level, a chance at G4D events, to get disability children into the game and also to get anyone in any walk of life into the game and it’s fantastic soccer
“Golf Ireland are definitely the most progressive foundation and organisation in disability golf at the minute soccer
“We meet every few months for different meetings to talk about different ways to try and boost the game and get different people into the game soccer
“It’s wonderful to see an organisation that’s willing to work with you to make great things happen soccer
